Our Global Impact
How we're making a difference beyond the classroom walls
Making a difference in children's lives through STEM education has always been at the heart of our mission at Inventors & Makers.
We've done this by offering free resources to inspire children with a diverse range of STEM Heroes; by working through schools and nurseries so that parent affordability never stands in the way; and by expanding into virtual sessions to allow for lower budgets and bring STEM learning to areas that might otherwise miss out.

Now we've taken our impact even further. At the start of 2025 we officially became a business for good by partnering with B1G1.
How It All Works

We’re passionate about creating real, meaningful and global impact, particularly on the lives of children.

Through our partnership with the Global Giving Initiative B1G1, we’re able to make a difference to children and families in need right across the globe. B1G1 has a unique giving model which means 100% of the giving goes straight to the people who really need it, through projects vetted with strict criteria.

When you choose to use our resources or sessions, you have a positive impact on those that need our support the most. Every time someone signs up for our free resources or books one of our sessions, something great happens in the world. We even send thank you certificates to schools and nurseries individually to share with their children and raise awareness of global giving.
Impacts from Our Booked Sessions
When a teacher books our workshops or clubs (online or in-person), we create an impact, selecting from particular projects each month so as to spread our giving between a variety of causes.
So far our impacts have included:

Providing 20 days of access to solar lighting for families in Kenya

Planting 16 trees to restore degraded rainforests in Madagascar

Supporting four days support for an early childhood development programme in South Africa

Providing 11 days of high-quality education for girls in the DRC

Providing 91 days of education for disadvataged children in Kenya, in Zimbabwe, and in Madagascar
Giving 30 days of learning support tools to a nursery in Ethiopia
