Why choose Inventors & Makers?

By Teachers For Teachers

Inventors & Makers was founded by a former primary teacher, and every workshop and club is planned and delivered by our network of qualified, experienced Inventioneer teachers based across the UK. With years of experience, we understand how classrooms work - and we know how to make learning stick.

We Do the Hard Work

Once you've made your booking, everything is taken care of, Our Inventioneer teachers plan every session, bring all the materials, and handle the delivery - leaving you free to enjoy watching your children thrive. We'll even provide parent information sheets, display resources, and follow-up ideas.

Education, Not Entertainment

We don't just put on a show. Every session is built around genuine learning: hands-on activities that give children real opportunities to think creatively, problem-solve, and work as a team. Whether they're 3 or 11, children leave our sessions having actually learned something.

Trusted Experts

Every session is extensively planned and tested before we ever deliver it. Our Inventioneer teachers understand how to break complex concepts down into age-appropriate, curriculum-relevant learning. With deep knowledge of the primary and EYFS curriculum, years of classroom experience, and Silver SEND Inclusion accreditation they know exactly how to reach all children.

Everyday Materials, Extraordinary Results

We deliberately use simple, reusable, and recyclable materials - cups, craft sticks, straws - not because we can't do fancy, but because we believe engineering should feel accessible to every child. It's better for the planet, and it means pupils see that great ideas can come from everyday objects rather than expensive kits. When the session ends, the learning doesn't - because everything we use is something children can pick up again at home or in the classroom.

"I would wholeheartedly recommend Inventors & Makers to other teachers and will definitely book them to come back to our school again."

 - Miss Rimmer, Reception Teacher, Howe Green House School

"The workshops were brilliant, with a practical mix of learning and fun within the field of engineering. We were really pleased to find such a quality offer for all students from Nursery to Year 6."

 - Mr Stebbing, Science Lead, Thornhill Primary School

From EYFS to KS2

We support nurseries and primary schools throughout their children's journeys - with sessions designed specifically for each age group, not just scaled up or down.

EYFS & Nurseries

Our early years sessions are built around play, exploration, and wonder. Every session includes a sensory warm-up, a story, a song, physical movement, and hands-on exploratory activities - because that's how young children learn best.

Our sessions link to the topics your setting is already exploring across the year - space, life cycles, our bodies, animals, and more - so STEM feels like a natural part of your children's world, not a one-off visit.

Key Stage 1

In KS1 we teach specific STEM concepts through hands-on investigative activities, often linking to stories to bring the learning to life. Our Inventioneer teachers know exactly how to pitch ideas for this age group - building confidence and curiosity in equal measure.

Our workshops and clubs can link to the topics your class is already covering - from mechanisms and structures to space and inventions - making it easy to connect our sessions to your existing planning.

Key Stage 2

In KS2 we go deeper - exploring engineering and science concepts through challenge-based activities that ask pupils to think, test, and problem-solve. Every session highlights a STEM Hero who has made a real impact, showing pupils that inventors and engineers come from all backgrounds.

Our sessions can map to your curriculum topics across the year - Romans, space, forces, electricity, and more - turning a one-off workshop into part of a joined-up learning journey.

Staff Training & CPD
